Archival Matte Paper
An unframed presentation on substantial 250 gsm (110 lb), 0.29 mm museum-quality paper. The matte, uncoated natural-white surface softens reflection and is acid-free and FSC-certified or equivalent. Ships ready for framing. Sizes: 12, 16, 20, 28, and 40 inches square.
Wood-Framed Archival Print
The same 250 gsm archival print set in a 20 mm black frame crafted from responsibly sourced oak or ash. Natural grain may remain visible. Shatterproof plexiglass protects the work, and the included hanging kit arrives ready to hang. Sizes: 12, 16, 20, and 28 inches square, subject to current availability.
Metal-Framed Archival Print
The same 250 gsm archival print paired with a narrow black aluminum frame approximately 20 mm deep and 10 mm wide. Shatterproof plexiglass and hanging hardware are included; simple assembly is required. Sizes: 12, 20, and 28 inches square.
Acrylic Print
A polished 4 mm acrylic presentation that heightens depth, contrast, and reflected light. Straight-cut corners preserve a precise contemporary profile. Hanging hardware and predrilled corner holes are included. Sizes: 12, 16, 20, and 24 inches square.
Placement & Fit
Compression I | IRON is suited to living rooms, studies, offices, entryways, and hospitality spaces that benefit from structure rather than ornament.
Its charcoal, black, warm-gray, and muted-rust tones work especially well with concrete, plaster, dark wood, natural oak, linen, leather, and restrained neutral palettes.
Choose 12–20 inches for shelves, narrow walls, intimate arrangements, or groupings; 24–28 inches for placement above a console, desk, or focused seating area; and 40 inches for a larger wall or above substantial furniture. Allow open wall around the work so the architecture has room to breathe. Room imagery may depict a particular medium and size; confirm the selected options before purchase.
For broader walls and more expansive rooms, consider pairing it with the companion Compression I | IVORY variation. Displayed together, the two works create a thoughtful dialogue between weight and light while giving the installation greater presence.
